Missed the old style fallout series where you can modify your weapons, have legacy controls on your companion and missed the old characters? Have you been dismayed with the changes on Fallout 3? New Vegas brings back the old controls, the old character line, more focus on the story something left omitted on Bethesda’s last version of Fallout franchise. New Vegas was created by the same team that brings you the original series now working at Obsidian.

The games start when you are shot on the head and left to die only to wake up being revived by a friendly doctor. The search starts on who wants you dead and why. This will trigger your travels to the wasteland up to the Wild West area of New Vegas where the nuclear damage was less evident and less mutation takes place. The game now brings back the ammunition weight which is one of the critical things that diehard fans want to stay and got striped from Fallout 3.

Mac vs PC (Transformers Edition)

The Macintosh project started in the late 1970s with Jef Raskin, an Apple employee, who envisioned an easy-to-use, low-cost computer for the average consumer. He wanted to name the computer after his favorite type of apple, the McIntosh, but the name had to be changed for legal reasons as it was too close, phonetically, to that of the McIntosh audio equipment manufacturer. Steve Jobs requested a release of the name so that Apple could use it but this was denied forcing Apple to eventually buy the rights to use the name. Raskin was authorized to start hiring for the project in September 1979, and he began to look for an engineer who could put together a prototype.

Apple on some point have experimented on some alternative types of system which of course only drains their cash until they realise to start marketing again and revive the Macintosh line. To date, Apple the creator of Mac holds a wide range of gadgets and electronic devices that make Microsoft electronic products look like a school project. A thing of trivia was, both Steve Jobs and Bill gates (owner of Microsoft) are both founders of Apple Systems.

Avatar : The Legend of Korra

Nickelodeon has announced a new series from the creators of cartoon epic “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”
The new show from Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko has the working title of “The Legend of Korra” and will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2011. It was posted earlier that there was a new Avatar series that is currently under development and the job/career search from “MTV Networks Careers” and “The Animation Guild” search for Storyboard Artists, Storyboard Revisionists, Storyboard Supervisors, Prop Designer and Character Designer proves its existence.

The live action move “The Last Airbender” *rewritten and directed by M. Night Shyamalan released June 30 earned a lot of bad publicity and controversy and a huge uproar from fans around. Paramount, the studio behind the film is watching the movie’s international gross before making firm plans about any follow-ups. The director, M. Night Shyamalan, expressed outmost interest to create the sequel and was happy that he previously got the exclusive contract to direct the 2 other books. The movie in question was a $150 million film shoot mostly at the backyard area in Philadelphia at the directors town and have spent $130 million on advertisements and trailers (which almost none of it appeared on the movie).

*I used the term rewritten since the director really rewritten the whole story and presented his new totally new version of the series that angered a very huge portion of the fans.

Avatar The Last Airbender Movie

 Entertainment,Movies 8 July 2010

I just watched this movie and I was surprised on how bad it turned out to be. The first mistake was character focus.  The story starts with Katara doing some water bending and hitting his brother Sokka.  They then found Aang (or “Oong” as I keep on hearing on the movie) frozen under suspended animation in an iceberg below them. Sokka breaks the ice sheet that trap the iceberg below the water and Katara breaks the Ice-Air bubble. This is great but who was that guy on the navy ship? Well that was Zuko, never introduced and I have no idea what he wants. Luckily I watched the whole series so I am guided but I frankly get lost on the movie.  Prince Zuko attack the tribe (gosh, I finally learned who that guy was) and then Aang come out and presented himself to the fire prince Zuko from an igloo.

The director made a pride choice of changing how the name was pronounced into Ahng  from Aang because he wants it to be more racial accurate. He base it on an aspect that Aang was an Asian, true but why Ahng? Well the director was an Indian who speaks Hindi. It may work well if all Asian speaks that same way as Hindi does.

Problem is, if he wants it to be accurate then why do the crown prince Zuko, General Iroh, the firelord and Azula are not japenese? The series portrayed them as a country resembling  Japanese people and culture which can be concluded that the upper fire country members are Japanese.
