Mac vs PC (Transformers Edition)

The battle continues between the dreaded PC and the equally fierce Mac. For years people have been ranting about how the other system sucks and point out flaws on both systems. This discussion plagues the World Wide Web and even co-workers are stumped to debate with each other.

Windows
Microsoft has taken two parallel routes in its operating systems. One route has been for the home user and the other has been for the professional IT user. The dual routes have generally led to home versions having greater multimedia support and less functionality in networking and security, and professional versions having inferior multimedia support and better networking and security.

Windows host a wide base choice of computer software’s mainly not to its success on giving services exactly as what the user wants but with corporate plays. All IBM compatible machines are being shipped with Windows base on a tight contract with the giant Microsoft. Exploiting the reality that a common person will always be reluctant to learn two things for a certain need, windows earn a wide range of user base and a wide range of rants.

Macintosh
The Macintosh project started in the late 1970s with Jef Raskin, an Apple employee, who envisioned an easy-to-use, low-cost computer for the average consumer. He wanted to name the computer after his favorite type of apple, the McIntosh, but the name had to be changed for legal reasons as it was too close, phonetically, to that of the McIntosh audio equipment manufacturer. Steve Jobs requested a release of the name so that Apple could use it but this was denied forcing Apple to eventually buy the rights to use the name. Raskin was authorized to start hiring for the project in September 1979, and he began to look for an engineer who could put together a prototype.

Apple on some point have experimented on some alternative types of system which of course only drains their cash until they realise to start marketing again and revive the Macintosh line. To date, Apple the creator of Mac holds a wide range of gadgets and electronic devices that make Microsoft electronic products look like a school project. A thing of trivia was, both Steve Jobs and Bill gates (owner of Microsoft) are both founders of Apple Systems.
